Our Progress
Since starting Crafts for Kindness in October 2020, we have fundraised for various beneficiaries, including Connecticut Foodshare, the Pine Grove Elementary School PTO, the Friends of the Avon Library, the Avon High School PTO, Avon Dollars for Scholars, and the Roaring Brook School PTO. We received our first order!
Crafts for Kindness raises its first $100 for Connecticut Foodshare in its first few months of complete operation, with the help of five creators.
We run our first fundraiser for Connecticut Foodshare and the Pine Grove Elementary School (PGS) PTO! Our efforts raised nearly $500 for both beneficiaries.
After setting a goal to raise $1,000 for local beneficiaries, we partnered with our anchor beneficiary Connecticut Foodshare and with the Friends of the Avon Library to host a fundraiser. During a two-week period, we surpassed our goal and raised over $1,100 for both organizations.
Holiday fundraiser raises over $600 for Connecticut Foodshare and the Avon High School PTO.
Summer/Fall fundraiser raises over $900 for Connecticut Foodshare and Avon Dollars for Scholars (ADFS). ADFS establishes a $500 scholarship using the proceeds and Connecticut Foodshare is able to provide over 440 meals to those in need.
Valentine's Fundraiser raises money for Roaring Brook School PTO and Connecticut Foodshare.
Crafts for Kindness makes its final donation of $230 to CT Foodshare, an accumulation from the last six months of fundraising.
